Field Interviews
Our local language abilities are essential to our field work, which is why our team is primarily composed of local staff who are native speakers in Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Balinese, and Tagalog. These necessary language skills, combined with our knowledge of clients’ business intelligence needs, allow us to efficiently perform additional desk work for our clients that would otherwise require expensive 3rd-party translators to be hired for less-than-ideal results.
Scanning translations are the best example of the efficient combination of local language skills and our company research experience. Regularly attending analyst briefings, earnings calls, and conducting small group meetings has taught us what answers matter most to investors. Our clients can send us pointed questions about a company’s results or local language communications and we can quickly scan and return only the needed information in less than an hour.
Summary translations are another excellent use of our combination of skills. We will review long content released by the company in written, video, or audio formats and return a short summarization of key issues outlined by our clients. This allows our clients to efficiently gather research on a company while ensuring the accuracy of the information they receive.
Contacting local IR teams or executives is also made much easier as we can call the company in-country and with a local number, speak their language, and get an answer quickly. The cumbersome process of sending e-mails through IR and waiting days for horribly translated answers can be entirely avoided with just a quick message to our team.
Finally, our local language services allow us to quickly scan Thai, Indonesia, Filipino, and other regional news sources for company mentions outside of the local media, ensuring you have access to the same information as local players, without delay.
